Personality profiling, sometimes referred to as psychometric testing or psychological profiling is a means of measuring an individual’s personality in a particular situation. It is not a measure of intelligence or ability – but of behaviour.
Profiling provides a snapshot view of the preferred behaviour that comes subconsciously to most people. This is the behaviour with which they are ‘comfortable’ and can sustain for long periods of time. This behaviour is social and intellectual – not physical.
The means by which this behaviour is measured is a questionnaire which asks the visitor to choose behaviour most and least like them. The results from this questionnaire provide a personality profile of the respondent.
The questionnaire is not a test as there can be no right or wrong answer to psychological type. It is an evaluation of the individual’s habitual or typical way of dealing with the world.
We at EQV have a simple questionnaire with just 8 questions that can establish a person’s behaviour style quickly. The questionnaire is internet based so anyone with an internet connection can complete it and we can then analyse and give feedback.
There are a variety of comprehensive reports that can be generated from this questionnaire these include:
• Customer Service
• Sales Staff
• Team leader
• Managers
• Senior managers and Directors
Each report will give you information on the behaviour of the individual and how this would fit into the chosen role and highlight areas that can be changed to increase their effectiveness.
The reports are based around the work of leading psychologist Carl Jung and how people think; take on board information to make their decisions and sense of the world.
Using this information you can create individual training plans for your staff that focuses on improving their weaknesses and therefore their effectiveness.
• Customisation - To further encourage a successful skills transfer period we can build in relevant examples into the course delivery that help the attendees relate the issues back to their own workplace. These can include company specific information such as best practice, policies and procedures.
The extent to which your programme is tailored can be agreed - not only can the subject content be modified, the exercises can be company specific and actual “real” case studies can be used. We can customise our standard courseware with your own livery, or for a fully customised delivery we can develop fully customised courseware for you that you then own the copyright to. Tailor-made courseware means that your courseware reflects the exact content of your chosen subject and incorporates company specific practices that you might have.
• Action Learning Sets – Participants will be able to look at the real problems which concern them, rather than considering hypothetical ones. This can be used as an opportunity to share information and best practice, support innovation
